1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using GR Control ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and the developer of GR Control ("we", "us", or "our").

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App, in accordance with applicable platform policies and terms. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Description of the App

GR Control is a mobile app that allows you to operate your Ricoh GR camera from a distance. From selfies to group shots, it lets you be part of the frame while staying in full control of the shutter.

GR Control is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Ricoh Company, Ltd. or any of its subsidiaries. "Ricoh" and "GR" are trademarks of Ricoh Company, Ltd. Their use within this App is solely for the purpose of identifying compatible camera models.

4. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on a device you own or control. This license does not include the right to sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, distribute, or otherwise commercially exploit the App or make it available to any third party.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers optional paid features and auto-renewing subscriptions. All payments are processed exclusively by the platform provider from which you downloaded the App. We do not collect, process, or store your payment information.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled beforehand. You may manage or cancel your subscription through your platform account settings. Note that deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. Pricing, billing cycles, and taxes are set by the platform provider at the time of purchase. Refund requests are handled solely by the platform provider in accordance with its policies; we do not have the authority to issue refunds directly.

We may update our prices from time to time. If we increase your subscription price, we will notify you in advance based on your subscription interval. The new price will only apply at your next renewal, and you can cancel if you do not agree.

Purchase validation and subscription status are managed through RevenueCat, a third-party service that verifies transactions on behalf of the platform provider. Paid features are licensed, not sold, and may be suspended or terminated if payment fails, a subscription lapses, or these Terms are violated.

7. Privacy and Data Collection

By using the App, you consent to the collection of limited, anonymized technical data to improve performance, functionality, and user experience. For full details on how data is collected, used, and protected, please review our Privacy Policy.

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymized usage data, such as device type, operating system version, app version, and coarse location (such as general region or city-level information). This information is aggregated and processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

The App requires access to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to enable communication with compatible cameras, facilitate in-app purchases, and support analytics functionality.

All camera content, including photos and videos, is transferred directly between the App and the camera and remains stored locally. The App does not transmit any content to external servers.

8. Compatible Devices and Requirements

The App is designed for use with compatible Ricoh GR series cameras that support Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi (WLAN) connectivity. You are responsible for ensuring compatibility with your specific camera model, firmware version, and mobile device. We do not guarantee compatibility with all devices or firmware versions.

The App's performance depends on the hardware of your mobile device, the camera's firmware, and the stability of wireless signals. We do not guarantee that the App will be compatible with all future firmware updates or that it will operate without interruption in all environments.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, software, design, graphics, and functionality of GR Control are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with your specific device or camera model.

Use of the App to control your camera is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, DAMAGE TO YOUR CAMERA OR DEVICE, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

You acknowledge that wireless communication between a mobile device and a camera carries inherent risks. We are not responsible for:

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR SUBSCRIPTION DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Modifications to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may update these Terms periodically. For changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable advance notice via an in-app notification or other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.

14. Termination

Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically and without notice if you fail to comply with any of its provisions.

We also reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time and without prior notice if:

Upon termination, the license granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Any images or content cached locally on your device prior to termination will remain on your device and are not affected by termination of your license. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) shall remain in effect.

15. Export Compliance

The App is subject to the export laws and regulations of the United States and may be subject to the export or import laws of other countries. You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations.

You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country to which the United States has embargoed goods or services. You further represent that you are not listed on the U.S. Treasury Department's Specially Designated Nationals list, the U.S. Department of Commerce Denied Persons List or Entity List, or any other applicable restricted party list.

You agree not to use the App for any purposes prohibited by applicable law, including the development, design, manufacture, or production of nuclear, missile, chemical, or biological weapons.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

16.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve any dispute informally through good-faith negotiation. We will likewise attempt to resolve any concern directly with you. If a dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days of your initial notice, either party may pursue formal legal remedies as described below.

16.2 Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the App shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

16.3 Jurisdiction

Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to the state or federal courts located in California, United States, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

16.4 EU/UK Residents

If you are a resident of the European Union or United Kingdom, the laws of your country of residence shall apply to any dispute arising from these Terms, and you may bring legal proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

17. General Terms

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, or understandings between you and us relating to the App.

17.2 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms, and any attempt to do so will be void. We may assign our rights or obligations under these Terms to any affiliate, subsidiary, or successor in interest without restriction.

17.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision or any other provision in the future.

17.4 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17.5 Governing Language

These Terms may be translated into other languages for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, inconsistency, or conflict between the English version and any translated version, the English version shall prevail.
